I’m Davina, a half British/half Thai dreamer, always planning my next travel adventure and looking for amazing food experiences.

As someone with mixed heritage, when I was younger I often felt I didn’t ‘fit in’ anywhere. People in England thought I was ‘different’ to them and I’d always be treated as a foreigner or ‘farang’ by people in Thailand. It used to upset me at times but as I’ve grown up I’ve realised that my dual-nationality is my greatest asset, and I wouldn’t change it for the world. It’s given me the opportunity to travel from a young age and be exposed to some of the tastiest food in the world – often cooked by my mum (she really is the best cook in the world). So I guess this is where my passion for food and travel has stemmed from.

I’m always daydreaming about places I want to travel to, but that’s just the start for me. My desire to discover new places, to learn about other cultures, to try different foods and to grow as a person is what fuels me to turn those dreams into reality.

I’m hoping to one day settle in Thailand for a while, but for now, home is in the UK. I created this blog to share my experiences of living in England and Thailand, and all my travels in between, as well as my hotel stays and eats. I have experienced life as a budget backpacker as well as luxury travel. I have travelled solo, as a couple, as a mum/daughter duo, with friends, with family, and as a group.

I hope you’ll enjoy seeing where my daydreams have taken me, and that my experiences give you the inspiration and insight you need to make your next travel adventure a reality.
